Brianne & Mike - The Engagement Party

Brianne and Mike had their engagement party at the AMAZING home of Mike's (super sweet) parents.  It had a view of La Jolla and the ocean like you wouldn't believe.  I want to share a funny story, at least to me it is.  It is a little before 6 and I am supposed to start photographing at 6.  So I finally am on the street of the party and it is on a big and steep hill.  I noticed, as I am at the top of the hill, that the cars are already parking up this hill.  Now I have a suburban so it isn't so easy to squeeze into just any spot.  So I figure I better just play it safe and park at the top of the hill.  Then I thought I could just go to the bottom of the hill and see what is available.  While I am thinking all of this a little car had gone done the hill and then I saw it coming back up the hill to park.  So for sure if that little car didn't find anything, neither was I.  So I grab my camera bag and start heading down.  I get to the address at the VERY bottom of this BIG hill and wouldn't you know.....there is valet!  Of course there is.  What luck I have!  LOL  I thought that was funny.  But what was even more funny is that I had to walk up this hill when I was done.  OMGosh!  My legs were sore for 3 days!  I am not kidding.  It was so steep!  Good exercise though :)  So here are a few pictures.  I wasn't sure what to post.  Most of the shots were all candid shots.  So I just grabbed a few different ones.  Thanks Mike & Brianne!  Your family and friends were all so nice!

Anthony - A High School Senior

Thanks Carmen & Allyshia!  We met in Oceanside near the Pier to get both some beach shots and some street/urban shots.  Anthony, his mom, two little brothers and 3 other family friends joined in on the fun.  They were all super nice.  Anthony was awesome to work with.  He was super open to anything I asked him to do.  Not normal for a)a high school senior and b) a guy!  Thanks for being so willing.  You guys were fun and it was great meeting you all!  Here are some of my favs from the day.

Alexandra - A Maternity Session

I couldn't choose!  I had the hardest time picking what pictures to post.  I loved so many of them.  Alexandra, her hubby James and her Mom (totally forgot your name...opps!) came in for some belly pics!  All three were so awesome.  As you can see Mom snuck into a couple of the photos :)  And James...had to be the most willing husband I have had to date!  There is usually a lot of coercing going on to try and get the hubby in the photo.  James was so easy!  Thank you!  They are expecting baby Marley (love it!) in June.  They were so cute together...totally in love!  It was great meeting you and can't wait to meet Marley!!

Another Loss.....

I am not going to write much.  Thinking of the loss of this kind, loving, generous, loyal, strong, Godly woman brings to tears in an instant.  My grandma....sorry, I am done.  I miss you terribly Grammy.

Bailey-Headshots

Bailey is a college student/actress that came to me for some headshots.  I love headshots because the type of people who get headshots are (usually) fun and outgoing.  That was Bailey.  As I am typing this I just got an e-mail from Bailey.  She said that she had an audition this weekend and they complimented her on her photos "looking like her".   Makes me wonder how many people go to auditions with headshots that have been so photoshop'ed that they don't even look like themselves?  It was great meeting you Bailey + the boyfriend!  Break a leg!  :)

I had the pleasure of meeting John and Marilia when she was adorably pregnant with Leela.  They had family in town so they asked me  to come to there house for some quick family portraits.  I am so sorry guys, but I have forgotten every ones names!  Opps!
