Easter Weekend 2009

Warning!  There are A LOT of pictures in this blog :)  I had such an amazing Easter weekend!  Started off with Good Friday service.  It was so amazing.  Such a bitter sweet day!  I had a Portrait Session (which will be blogged about soon...a little behind) on Saturday morning.  Then on Saturday afternoon the Worley's invited us to their 3-D Ultrasound in Costa Mesa.  It was so exciting waiting to find out if it was a boy or girl.  The baby wasn't cooperating very well (sign of trouble?  LOL) so it took the tech quite a while before she said it was a GIRL!!!  So exciting!  Here is the picture at the exact moment that we all found out it was a girl.

Then on Sunday we went to church.  It was another AMAZING message.  Right after church we went to my parents house for our usual Easter celebration.

Jelly Beans...just thought they looked pretty :)

I hope this isn't to much boob for anyone :)  I just loved the way the necklaces were hanging.
Easter Egg Hunt Time!!!

OK.  We have a couple of Easter traditions.  The first and oldest is the Egg Toss.  Very serious business.  My brothers and I start talking smack weeks before Easter about the Egg Toss.  Of course the last years winner always talks the most smack.  There is a Kids Egg Toss and an Adult Egg Toss.  The entry fee (yes there is an entry fee) is $2.00/per couple.  The couples start about 4 feet apart and keep moving back after every successful catch.  Your egg breaks = your out.  Here are a few pics of the Kids Egg Toss.
Ethan catching his egg!
Kids Egg Toss winners: Espi and Tanner.  Yes we have crowns and trophies!  I told you this is serious business in our family.
Now for the adults.  The final team will end up almost 50 feet apart from each other!  It may not sound far, but it is!  And that egg being tossed from 50 feet can hurt!
And the 2009 Adult Egg Toss winners are:

Nick & Marisa!!!  Woo Hoo!!
And now it is time for LCR!  This is a really basic dice game.  The entry fee (I think our family likes to gamble) is $3.00/person.  Roughly 25 people were playing.  So the winner won over $80.00.
The Easter 2009 LCR winner is:

Debbie Haas!!
And now just  a few more random pictures.
My fav model Mercedes!

I don't think he ate anything 'real' all day :(
Well I hope you enjoyed the look into our Easter fun!  It really is good times.  I do make sure that my kids know why we really celebrate Easter.  Yes the candy and Egg Toss are fun.  But MOST importantly it is a time to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior!  YAY!!

Rio, Taylor and Tanner!

These are three of the best looking kids!  I could be partial, I am their Auntie :)  Some of these shots were taken at my grandpa's "ranch".  It isn't a ranch anymore.  But when I was young there were pigs, cows and chickens there.  Now there is just a bunch of junk.  But when I saw all that "junk" I thought it was amazing!  I knew instantly that I had to take some portraits there.  So I recruited my two handsome nephews and my BEAUTIFUL niece! Here are ten of my favs, but I could have easily posted more!  Great models + great location = great pics!  Rio, Taylor, Tanner....you have each blessed my life in a special way.  Rio, thank you for being a good role model for my boys.  Taylor you will always be the princess.  Tanner I miss the days of making you gum.  I love you all so much! xoxo-Auntie-xoxo

And a few more..............
